For decades, Bob McKay’s Harley-Davidson®, later McKay's Cycle Creations was a cornerstone of the Ontario motorcycle community, known for exceptional service, expert craftsmanship, and an unwavering passion for bikes. Bob built a reputation for quality work and outstanding customer service, earning the trust of riders across the region.
After Bob’s tenure, the shop transitioned to GT Cycle under Greg Taylor, who continued the tradition of high-quality motorcycle service and sales, ensuring that riders received the expert care they had come to expect.
Today, under the ownership of Brian Akins, the shop has evolved into Good Times Motorcycle Company—a name that reflects our commitment to the riding lifestyle. Brian Akins
Owner / Parts Specialist & Sales
Brian’s passion for aftermarket upgrades and performance is the driving force behind GT Cycle. With an extensive and broad knowledge of Harley-Davidson® motorcycles across all eras, he helps riders find the perfect used motorcycle while offering expert advice on customization and performance enhancements. Starting as Parts Manager in 2019, Brian built a deep understanding of high-performance parts and upgrades, ensuring every bike reaches its full potential. Taking over ownership in fall 2021, he remains committed to delivering top-quality work and premium parts at fair and reasonable prices. Whether you're looking for a bike, parts, or performance upgrades, Brian’s expertise makes GT Cycle the go-to destination for Harley-Davidson® enthusiasts.
Cameron Robertson
Head Mechanic
Cameron is known for his meticulous attention to detail and unwavering commitment to excellence. With a passion for precision, he goes above and beyond to ensure every bike he works on performs at its absolute best. Whether it’s a routine service or a full cam rebuild, he approaches every job with care, expertise, and a dedication to getting it right the first time. Customers trust him not just for his skill, but for his commitment to delivering a ride that feels as good as it looks.
Cameron has completed Vehicle Service and Chassis certification at Harley Davidson headquarters in Milwaukee.
Alexina Akins
Literally everything else
Alexina works behind the scenes keeping everything organized and running smoothly. From bookkeeping and accounting to making sure the shop stays on track, she handles it all—while also keeping the crew (and customers) fueled with fresh coffee. Whether she’s managing the details or keeping the guys in line, Alexina ensures that GT Cycle operates like a well-oiled machine. A vital part of our family-owned business, her hard work and dedication help create the welcoming, reliable shop our customers have come to trust.
Chester
Shop Security / Resident Greeter
Chester, our 13-year-old black Labrador Retriever, takes his job as shop security seriously—expect an old man bark to announce your arrival! But don’t be fooled by his tough exterior; he’ll greet you with a wagging tail and, most likely, a shoe in his mouth (his signature move). Whether he’s keeping a watchful eye on the shop, soaking up attention, or sneaking in a nap, Chester makes sure every visit to GT Cycle comes with a nice bum scratch. Loyal, protective, and always on duty, he’s more than just a shop dog—he’s family.
